The Robust Online Learning (ROLL) Title III Grant helps faculty create innovative online learning solutions for UAA's students. ROLL provides professional development and certification opportunities for faculty working to develop and teach Online Master Courses, implement best practices for eLearning, and create accessible and culturally responsive online courses. The Innovative Design Studio works with faculty to create engaging audio, video, and interactive content, as well as incorporate new technologies into teaching.
Online Master Course (OMCs) shells are templates that are designed and developed by faculty teams, ROLL instructional designers, and support personnel. OMCs ensure consistent content delivery, as well as the assurance that students acquire the necessary skills and knowledge. Benefits also include reduced course development time for instructors and the organic creation of an online learning faculty community.
The ROLL Grant is a competitive U.S. Department of Education TItle III grant that funds targeted activities to strengthen UAA's online learning environment.
