Student Success

  • Office of Student Success

We Put Students First! The UAA Office of Student Success believes that everyone on a college campus contributes to a student’s education. Our initiatives aim to connect our community of students with faculty, advisors, mentors, peers, and programs to help Seawolves find the right path, stay on track, and cross the finish line.

Student Success Initiatives at UAA

UAA runs several Student Success Initiatives that are designed to help students stay organized, easily access advisors, find mentors, and reduce textbook costs for students. The Story of UAA's Office of Student Success

The goals of UAA 2020, a 3-year strategic plan adopted in spring 2017, focused on improving student success at UAA. In spring 2017, Dr. Claudia Lampman was named vice provost for student success. Since then, UAA Student Success has instituted university-wide student success technologies, a first year advising program, peer initiatives, and placement reform. The investment in student success is paying off as retention, persistence, and completion rates improve. The UAA 2025 strategic plan’s aspiration to “put students first” highlights a continued commitment to student success! For more information on UAA initiatives, browse the annual Performance Reports.
