Marshall Scholar Informational Teleconference, April 22
by Michelle Saport |
Monday, April 22, 9 a.m. Administration/Humanities Building, Room 204
The UAA Honors College is hosting an informational teleconference for students interested in becoming Marshall Scholars. This is a great opportunity to get first-hand information and ask questions.
Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom. Up to 40 scholars are selected each year for graduate studies in any field at a U.K. institution.
As future leaders with a lasting understanding of British society, Marshall Scholars strengthen the enduring relationship between the British and American peoples, their governments and institutions. Marshall Scholars are talented, independent and wide-ranging individuals whose time as scholars enhances their intellectual and personal growth.
Panelists for the teleconference are:
- Kelcie Ralph, UAA alumna and former Marshall Scholar (participating from Los Angeles)
- Mary Denyer, head of the Scholarship Administration (participating from London)
- Kathryn Parkinson, British Consulate, San Francisco (participating from San Francisco)
