UAA Alert! Anchorage Campus Inclement Weather Notice for Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025.

Due to unsafe road conditions for Anchorage and surrounding areas, UAA’s Anchorage campus will be on a delayed start today, Thursday, Dec. 4. Campus will open at 10 a.m. to allow for safer travel.

Physical Health

  • Student Health and Counseling Center: providers are available for appointments, including physical exams, annual exams, contraceptive care, and sexually transmitted disease screenings or treatment. Episodic care through same-day appointments are available for ailments such as sore throat, abdominal pain, headache, fever, cough, and skin infections, etc.
  • Anchorage Neighborhood Health Clinic: full range of coordinated health services that are accessible and affordable for everyone in the Anchorage community (sliding fee discount program)
  • Alaska Native Medical Center: comprehensive medical services and acute, specialty, primary and behavioral health care to Alaska Native and American Indian people living in Alaska.
  • Insurance and paying for prescriptions:
    • Medicaid: provides medical coverage to Alaskans experiencing financial insecurity
    • SingleCare: free discounts on prescription medications
  • Seawolf Essentials: basic need resources such as hygiene products, cold weather essentials, and more
  •  Pregnant, Parenting, and Childcare 
    • Thread: Childcare resource and referral services
    • Pregnancy Accommodations: complications related to pregnancy or childbirth are recognized as a disability, and qualified students who experience a pregnancy related disability may be eligible to receive an ADA reasonable accommodation
