How To Check Email Using Outlook Web Access
Article Purpose
Users will need to know which Exchange environment their account resides on, as this will point you on the right path to use the proper web interface. If you are unsure of which environment your account resides on, please feel free to contact the Service Center.
Needed Materials
- Windows Operating System / Mac Operating System
- Any Working Internet Browser (i.e.: Internet Explore/ Mozilla Firefox/ Google Chrome/ Safari/ etc.)
- UAA or UA username & password
Steps to Resolution
- Click ‘Start’
- Locate your preferred internet browser
- In the address bar (i.e.: http://www.uaa.alaska.edu) you will want to replace this with: http://owa.uaa.alaska.edu
- Here you will be prompted for your username and password. (Remember this is your username and password you use to login to your work environment computer.)
Once you have entered the information that it is requesting from you, you may hit enter or click on “Log On.” Congratulations you have no logged into your UAA employee email using the web interface.
- Click ‘Finder’
- Click ‘Applications’
- Locate your preferred internet browser
- In the address bar (i.e.: http://www.uaa.alaska.edu) you will want to replace this with: http://owa.uaa.alaska.edu
- Here, you will be prompted for your username and password. (Remember this is your username and password you use to login to your work environment computer.)
Once you have entered the information that it is requesting from you, you may hit enter or click on “Log On.” Congratulations you have now logged into your UAA employee email using the web interface.
Additional Information
Please note that this How To guide is designed to assist users who are employees of UAA. This web interface email client can be accessed from anywhere the user would like to (i.e.: Home, A Coffee Shop, On Vacation, etc.).
Side Note: Users that are running a Windows Operating System will notice that Internet
