Application Process

There are three steps to our enrollment process:

  1. Application
  2. Admission
  3. Registration

All sessions are open until filled. Once a session is filled, a "waitlist" for each session/week will be maintained in case of cancellations.

Important Dates 2017

  • Lottery Application Deadline: 11:59pm on April 25th
  • Lottery results available: April 28th
  • Registration and Fee deadline: May 16th

    Our new online Registration System was designed for us by one of our staff members, Computer Science major Zak Stone, and his team of Computer Science students.  This system will allow you to log in, add multiple children, and change their session preferences up until the Lottery Deadline

    Within five business days of completing the application, you will receive an Application Confirmation email to verify your child's current session preferences. If you do not receive an application confirmation email within five days of completing the application, please contact the Summer Engineering Academies at

Step 2: Admittance

You will be notified of your student's assigned session(s) via email.

    Once your application has been processed, you will receive an admission email identifying the session(s) into which your child has been admitted. Applicants are limited to placement in a maximum of two sessions and one waitlist.

    If admitted during the Early-Bird Lottery, your child will be accepted into only one session, but will be automatically re-entered into the full Lottery.  During the full Lottery, applicants will automatically be placed into no more than two sessions and on one waitlists.

Step 3: Registration

    Your admissions email will contain instructions and links for completing your registration. A complete registration consists of registration, payment, and two signed releases. The releases will be completed through DocuSign.  If you are unable to complete the registration or pay the fee online, please contact us at

    Once we have received all your forms and payment, you will receive an enrollment email to confirm your enrollment.

    Several days before the start of your session, you will also receive a Pre-session email with directions, parking information, and schedule information.
