Every year, we employ about 10 to 13 students. The application process for 2024 will begin in February.

Assistant Instructor Role

The UAA Summer Engineering Academies are a series of fun and educational week-long courses designed for elementary, middle, and high school students. Some of our topics include Structures, Creative Coding, 3D Design, Renewable Energy, Wing Aerodynamics, Robotics, Corrosion Chemistry, and more.

Current UAA students are employed as assistant instructors, and some of their duties include supporting lead instructors in teaching engineering concepts to youth, keeping youth safe, managing classroom equipment and materials. Students from all majors are encouraged to apply. 

Pay Rate:

Year One - $13.50/hour
Year Two - $15.00/hour
