Alaska Victimization Survey results shared with Alaska House Judiciary Committee
by Ahliil Saitanan |
Justice Center assistant professor Ingrid Johnson shared results from the Alaska Victimization Survey (AVS)—including comparing victimization rates across 2010, 2015, and 2020—with the Alaska House Judiciary Committee to help inform decisions on addressing the problems of intimate partner violence and sexual violence against women in the state.
"The silver lining from today's presentation is that we are not necessarily getting worse. The not-so-great news is that we're not really getting better. We're kind of just treading water," Johnson said during her presentation.
