Health Sciences Faculty Mentors

For established health science students (59+ credit hours), faculty advisors are available to provide professional guidance so you can maximize your educational opportunities and make critical decisions regarding your career goals and/or graduate school plans. This includes mentoring students to become responsible health science professionals and referring you to appropriate student services as needed. It is important to start working with your faculty advisor by the end of your second year or 59 credit hours.

(Faculty Mentors - Students assignment by last name.)

MPH and Graduate Certificate Faculty Advisors

Prospective MPH students can reach out to Yvette Rodgers at ydrodgers@alaska.edu to learn more about the program. Current graduate students are assigned a faculty advisor at the time of admission. Your faculty advisor will assist you with developing an appropriate academic plan, provide professional and research guidance, and mentorship.   If you need to be connected with your faculty advisor, please reach out to ydrodgers@alaska.edu or call 907-786-6545.
