2011 Student Conference on United States Affiars (SCUSA) Delegates
Meneka Thiru and Benjamin Woodland were selected as the UAA delegates for the 63rd Annual Student Conference on United
States Affairs (SCUSA) which is held each fall at the U.S. Military Academy at West
Point. Meneka is majoring in International Studies. Ben is persuing a double major
in International Studies and German. SCUSA is a four day conference bringing together
students from around the world, the largest such conference of its kind, and is an
excellent opportunity to meet future leaders and policy makers. Delegates participate
in round table discussions on a variety of current issues and on the problems faced
by all the major world regions.
2010 Student Conference on United States Affairs (SCUSA) Delegates
Kimberly Pitney and Erick Romig were selected as the UAA delegates for the 62nd Annual Student Conference on United
States Affairs (SCUSA) which is held each fall at the U.S. Military Academy at West
Point. Pitney is pursuing a double major in International Studies and Economics.
Romig is majoring in Languages with a concentration in Spanish. SCUSA is a four day
conference bringing together students from around the world, the largest such conference
of its kind, and is an excellent opportunity to meet future leaders and policy makers.
Delegates participate in round table discussions on a variety of current issues and
on the problems faced by all the major world regions.
2009 Student Conference on United States Affairs (SCUSA) Delegates
Jacquelynn Engebretson and Melanie Parrett were selected as the UAA delegates for the 61st Annual Student Conference on United States Affairs (SCUSA) which is held each fall at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Both Engebretson and Parrett are International Studies majors. SCUSA is a four day conference bringing together students from around the world, the largest such conference of its kind, and is an excellent opportunity to meet future leaders and policy makers. Severin Randall and Sara Janes were selected as the UAA delegates for the 60th Annual Student Conference on United States Affairs (SCUSA) which is held each fall at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Severin is a University Honors College student majoring in Philosophy and a member of the Debate Team. Sara is majoring in History. SCUSA is a four day conference bringing together students from around the world, the largest such conference of its kind, and is an excellent opportunity to meet future leaders and policy makers. Umair Iqbal and William Dupre were selected as the UAA delegates for the 59th Annual Student Conference on United States Affairs (SCUSA) which is held each fall at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Umair Iqbal is a Biology major as well as a University Honors College student. William Dupre is a Biology major, a University Honors College student and a member of the Forty-Ninth State Fellows Program. SCUSA is a four day conference bringing together students from around the world, the largest such conference of its kind, and is an excellent opportunity to meet future leaders and policy makers. The 2006 theme was "Challenges to Security: Extremism, Resources and Globalization." Read Michelle's Policy Paper that was completed by her roundtable group at SCUSA.
2005 Student Conference on United States Affairs (SCUSA) Delegates
Nataliya Udovyk, majoring in Economics, and Rebekah Moras, majoring in Languages and Psychology, represented UAA at the 57th Annual Student Conference on United States Affairs (SCUSA) held at the West Point Military Academy in New York, November 13-16, 2005. This year's theme was "U.S. Responsibility and the Global Community: Interests, Opportunities, and Ethics."
2004 Student Conference on United States Affairs (SCUSA) Delegates
Tara Janik, majoring in Russian, History and German, and Debbie Mattson, majoring in Criminal Justice, were selected to attend the 2004 SCUSA event held at the US Military Academy, West Point, November 10th-13th. SCUSA is designed for undergraduates working in the disciplines of international relations, economics, political science, and related social science fields. SCUSA's overall purpose is to promote academic discussion of United States foreign policy, increase student appreciation for the complex nature of the policy-making process, and foster understanding among future leaders. Both students were fully funded by the Office of Undergraduate Research & Scholarship to attend this event.
