UAA staff, faculty, students and community members are invited to an open forum for the Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Enrollment Services (ES) position with candidate Lora Volden on Tuesday, Jan. 9, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in Rasmuson Hall, Room 303.

The AVC provides overall leadership for Enrollment Services, including the functional areas of recruitment, admissions, financial aid, registration, records, international student services, degree services, and one-stop student information. The AVC ES supports enrollment practices at the Anchorage campus and each of our four community campuses. This position represents the broad interests of Student Affairs and UAA on university-wide, statewide, and community boards and committees.

ES leads the institution in planning, implementing, and assessing an array of strategies to achieve enrollment goals. ES is a major stakeholder, centrally positioned to serve the diverse needs of students from urban and rural communities and globally. Embracing a student-centered philosophy, ES staff members are mindful of their responsibility to serve all students with quality, efficiency, and accuracy. The ES teams build strong partnerships with academic programs and community organizations that enhance educational opportunities for students.
