Five things every new UAA grad should know

Congratulations, Class of 2026,
While your time as a UAA student comes to a close, your next chapter as a UAA alum
begins!
You’re part of a network of more than 71,000 UAA alumni worldwide — living, working
and making an impact wherever you go. Here are five things every new grad should know
to take advantage of your new status.
1. Update your contact information
As your alma mater, we’d love to stay in touch. Take a moment to update your contact information. As an alum, you’ll be subscribed to our biannual alumni digital magazine, Alumni Spirit, and bimonthly e-newsletter, Alumni Howl. We love hearing about professional changes, family updates and whatever else you’d
like to share! To keep your UAA email address, reach out to UAA Information Technology Services before the start of the next semester.
2. Get your Alumni WolfCard
Stay connected as a card-carrying alum! Stop by the WolfCard office in Eugene Short Hall to pick up your Alumni Wolfcard. Complete the application form in advance or in person at the cashier window. Your Alumni WolfCard allows you to enjoy campus
perks and privileges beyond graduation, including:
- Book checkout and access to extended hours at the UAA/APU Consortium Library.
- 20% off clothing and select gifts at the Seawolf Store in the Alaska Airlines Center.
- Discounts at the Varsity Sports Grill on the 4th floor of the Alaska Airlines Center.
- Discounts on campus meeting and event space rentals through UAA Conference Services.
- Discounted rates for access to the fitness center at the AVIS Alaska Sports Complex.
- 25% off all Esports Lounge costs, including hourly or hour bundles, day passes and weekend passes.
Obtaining an Alumni WolfCard is free, and your card will never expire.
3. Keep growing your career
Whether you need help landing your first job or finding that next opportunity, UAA Career Services offers a range of free resources to help you at every stage of your career. You can
access Handshake with your UAA credentials after graduation — log in to connect with employers excited
to hire UAA students and grads. If you need a transcript for an employer or continuing
education, order your transcript online or in person through the Office of the Registrar.
4. Join us at events
Special alumni engagement events are happening on campus and around the community.
Check out the alumni events webpage, be on the lookout for our event invitation emails or follow our social media to stay in the know. Have an event idea or an interest in volunteering? Reach out
to the Alumni Center at 907-786-1701 or via email.
5. Share your journey and impact
This one is easy — be social! Use the #SeawolfNation or #UAAgrad to showcase your
UAA pride, community involvement and adventures with friends and family. Whether you’re
near or far, we want to celebrate you. Howl for the home team at a game, tune in to
the Seawolf Voices podcast and stay plugged into campus life by following us on social media: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
