On Friday, Oct. 9, UAA's largest alumni tradition saw over 200 UAA graduates and partners return to Cuddy Hall for the annual Alumni Homecoming Luncheon to reconnect with their Hometown U while raising over $3,000 to benefit UAA programs and scholarships.

Hosted by the UAA Alumni Association, this year's theme was Building Alaska’s Health Together, highlighting UAA's critical role in the state’s healthcare workforce.

Delivering the keynote address was Emily Ricci, M.P.H. '20. Ricci is the deputy commissioner at the Alaska Department of Health, where she oversees the state’s Medicaid program — a vital safety net providing primary health coverage for more than 30% of Alaskans.

Created in 1985 through an initial gift of $25, the UAA Alumni Scholarship is now an endowed fund valued at over $500,000 and has generated more than $475,000 in scholarships to support students.

Big thank you to all of our event sponsors, including green and gold partners Siemens, the Alaska Air National Guard, Providence Alaska and the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium. Special thanks to Motley Moo Creamery, owned by alumna Calesta Ayer, B.B.A. ’09, for providing the custom ice cream flavor, UAA Cookies 'n Green!
