Student Health and Counseling Center
The Student Health and Counseling Center (SHCC) promotes optimal health for the University community through access to high quality and affordable health care, preventative health care, individual counseling, consulting, outreach and health education.
The Student Health and Counseling Center is committed to fostering a welcoming, supportive environment where ALL students are valued. The team works together to provide evidence-based, comprehensive, and compassionate healthcare and education to UAA students seeking services regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, religion, or other diverse experiences or identities that contribute to an individual.
Students: Opt-In to receive appointment reminders via text. Sign up under the Forms tab on the Student Health Portal.
Vaccines for both Flu and COVID-19 (newest booster) are available. If you are a UAA student, staff or faculty, please call us at 907-786-4050 for an appointment.
Fall 2024
Usage Fee: In support of students' academic success and well-being the health center continues
to offer all healthcare services with a usage fee of $10 per visit.
Insurance Billing: Courtesy billing will continue for LewerMark, United Healthcare Student Resources
and Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield policies. We will provide others with a detailed
statement for insurance reimbursement.
