The Bookstore has received National notice in two different publications over the past weeks. First, The MBS Textbook Exchange featured UAA Campus Bookstore in an article on the success of the first ever Rockin' the Racks during Campus Kickoff this past August. Second, The National Association of College Stores highlighted (pg 16) the retirement of former employee Pat Coile. Take a moment to look at how UAA Campus Bookstore is getting notice outside of our great state!

Last weekend a group of staff and students from Business Services came together to walk in the 20th Annual Relay for Life. Throughout the past few months they have sold snacks and had a competition in the different areas to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. We are VERY proud to announce that our team (and co-workers) raised $2,098.41 to help with cancer research and care of patients and care givers.

During the 20 hour event the team hung out around a campfire, walked, laughed, held a surprise birthday party, and just had a great time getting to know their fellow co-workers just a little bit better. In addition, two of the teammates each donated 8" of their hair to the Pantene Great Lengths program which makes wigs for cancer patients!

We look forward to having a team again next year and getting a few more of our co-worker involved!
