Complaints
We at UPD care to be a positive partner within our community and if you believe we have not lived up to our standards or have done something wrong you have options. Choose one of the following:
- Email the Chief of Police: mjearle@alaska.edu
- If you believe an employee has violated the University policies on discrimination you are encouraged to file a report with the Office of Equity and Compliance
- Information can be filed with the University of Alaska System Confidential Hotline (ethics point) at alaska.ethicspoint.com
- File a compliant with the State of Alaska Police Standards Council, the state council which oversees licensing of police officers
The University is required to follow the Board of Regents Policies and Regulations as it relates to employee matters.
