Student Resources

UAA is here to help you have a happy and healthy journey through your academic career! There are many student resources available to assist with everything from mental health wellness to outdoor gear rentals and much more. You can find even more student resources online through the Office of Academic Affairs.

  • Student Health and Counseling Center
    The Student Health and Counseling Center promotes optimal health for the University community through access to high quality and affordable health care, preventative health care, individual counseling, consulting, outreach and health education. The Student Health and Counseling Center provides services such as Flu and COVID vaccines, mental health counseling, physical health care, and much more.
  • Disability Support Services
    Disability Support Services empowers, supports, and advocates for students who experience disabilities by partnering with the University community in the provision of equal access to all curricular and co-curricular programs, facilities, services, and activities. DSS coordinates support services for UAA students who experience disabilities, and provides resources for the university and community.
  • Care Team
    The UAA Care Team is committed to promoting a safe and productive learning, living, and working environment by addressing the needs of students through coordination and assessment of information and developing a supportive plan.  
  • Tutoring and Learning Commons
    The UAA Learning Commons serves as a collaborative community of peers that provides tutoring, coaching, and one-on-one support for academic, creative, and professional success to students and the surrounding community. The Learning Commons provides tutoring and support in many areas including writing, math, communication, science, engineering, and nursing. They provide both in-person and distance support options.
  • Multicultural Student Services + Pride Center
    The Multicultural Student Services and Pride Center provides a safe space to foster community and find friends and resources on campus where all students can thrive as their full authentic selves. Center resources include things such as study areas, computers and printers, laptops, multi-faith prayer room, and community information and resources. Social and educational events are held throughout each semester.
  • Military and Veteran Student Services
    Military and Veteran Student Services provides academic support to all UAA student veterans, active-duty military personnel and their dependents.
  • Native Student Services
    Native Student Services provides a safe, affirming space on campus for Alaska Native, Native American, and Indigenous students. It is a gathering place where incoming and current students can find academic, advising, and cultural support; access resources; study with classmates; attend culturally empowering events, connect with community representatives; and interact with people who share similar experiences as Indigenous peoples. 
  • Student Union
    The Student Union is a student-centered organization that works to expand the college experience through offering enriched student programs, services, employment, and involvement opportunities. The Student Union has many resources such as outdoor gear rentals, an E-sports Lounge, organizations and clubs, as well as food and dining options.
  • Residence Life
    Residence Life provides a living and learning environment through programs, services, and opportunities that contribute to the personal and academic success of students living in the UAA residential community.
  • EAB Navigate
    EAB Navigate is an online website and a mobile app for students that streamlines the UAA experience through content that highlights university traditions, upcoming registration deadlines and personalized “to-dos”. Students can connect with university resources through their network and access a comprehensive directory of student services. EAB Navigate is also extremely useful for self-scheduling appointments with your academic advisor.
  • Parking and Transportation
    Parking and Transportation provides resources on how to utilize the Seawolf Shuttle, get a parking pass, request jump starts or safety escorts, and much more.
  • Seawolf Food Pantry
    The Seawolf Food Pantry serves all UAA students who are experiencing some type of food insecurity and provides a three-day supply of shelf-stable food for individuals and households of up to four people. The food pantry can be used twice every month by each UAA student.
  • University Police
    The University of Alaska Anchorage Police Department consists of a group of professionals working together to provide a safe environment for the UAA community through the confident application of education, rule enforcement and creative thinking.
