Upcoming Closures


Parking Garage (Roof Levels Only)

Winter is fast approaching which brings snow, ice, and hazardous conditions. To encourage a culture of safety and minimize the incidence of slips , trips, and falls, access to parking on the roof levels off all three parking garages will be closed to parking throughout the winter season.

The Central Parking Garage Roof Level (CPG) and the Engineering Parking Garage Roof Level (EPNG) will close beginning Friday October 18, 2019, while the East Parking Garage Roof Level (EPG) will close Friday October 25, 2019, All roofs will be closed for the duration of the snow season but will reopen when conditions improve in the spring.

Please watch for closure notices at the entrance of each roof area and as always, report any hazardous snow & ice conditions that need immediate attention. Thank you for your understanding and continuing to reinforce a culture of safety at UAA. 



State mandates and university community restrictions apply to all faculty and staff members,
and students. There are no exceptions.
Individuals meeting the following criteria may not enter university facilities, for any reason, and should isolate, self-quarantine or seek medical attention, as appropriate:
Individuals who are traveling or returning to UA from ANY location outside Alaska, foreign or
domestic, within the past 14 days.
Individuals who have been in close contact* with someone who has been confirmed to have
COVID-19, or with someone who is COVID-19 symptomatic and under investigation by the CDC
or other health authorities.
Individuals who have been passengers on cruise ships in the past 14 days.
Individuals who are COVID-19 symptomatic.
We all have a responsibility to help control the spread of COVID-19 and ensure that our
university campuses are safe.
Individuals who are confirmed to have COVID-19.
