Semester and Annual Parking Options
For students, employees and visitors who will be on campus frequently for a semester or year, the following parking permits are available:
Annual Parking Permits
Annual Full Day
- Valid all day in all main campus surface lots and garages.
- This permit is only valid during the year for which it is purchased, first day of the fall semester through the last day of summer semester.
- Permits must be fully adhered to the driver side windshield with its own adhesive and be completely visible from the outside.
- Annual Parking Permit $360 (Fall, Spring, Summer)
Priority Full Day
- Valid all day in all main campus surface lots, garages, and any posted priority spaces on campus.
- These spaces are also accessible through the Passport app using zone #9717 at the rate of $4/hr.
- $500/annual (Fall, Spring, Summer) for UAA Students
- $700/annual (Fall, Spring, Summer) for Non-Students (UAA Departments, Faculty, Staff)
Semester Parking Permits
Semester Full Day
- Valid all day in all main campus surface lots and garages.
- This permit is only valid during the semester for which it is purchased.
- Permits must be fully adhered to the driver side windshield with its own adhesive and be completely visible from the outside.
- Current Pricing: $180
Semester Full Day Resident Permit (Discontinued)
- The Resident Permit has been discontinued. There is no longer a separate permit or pricing for residents of UAA Housing.
- Main Campus permits are valid in all Housing lots.
- Annual and Semester parking permits can be purchased at The Permit Store.
Summer Full Day
- Valid all day in all main campus surface lots and garages.
- This permit is only valid during the summer for which it is purchased.
- Permits must be fully adhered to the driver side windshield with its own adhesive and be completely visible from the outside.
- $75/semester
Priority
- Valid all day in all main campus surface lots, garages, and any posted priority spaces on campus.
- These spaces are also accessible through the Passport app using zone #9717.
- $250/semester (Fall, Spring) for UAA Students
- $350/semester (Fall, Spring) for Non-Students (UAA Departments, Faculty, Staff)
- $110/summer semester for Students
- $160/summer semester for Non-Students (UAA Departments, Faculty, Staff)
Student Information
Paying With Your Student Account
Students may pay for annual or semester permits through their student accounts. When purchasing your permit, simply select the "Student Account" option in the "Payment Method" drop-down under the "Payment Options." Your ID is your University/Student ID#.
Using Federal Financial Aid for Parking Permits
Unless authorization is received, federal financial aid (Title IV) cannot be used to cover non-institutional charges such as: parking permits, parking fines, housing deposits and damages, library fines, returned check fees, health center charges, books or any other charges not directly tied to a class. If you would like to have these items placed on your account, you must complete the Title IV Authorization Form and return it to UAA Accounting Services.
Staff & Faculty Information
Payroll Deductions
You may submit a signed original Payroll Deduction Form to pay for your parking permit fees via payroll deduction.
Please note: Permits purchased via Payroll Deduction are not eligible for refund.
Adjunct Faculty Appointment Letters
Qualified adjunct faculty members are eligible to receive a discount on a permit for the term of their contract on the main campus. To qualify for the discount, adjunct faculty must not be concurrently employed with the University and must be a member of the United Academic Adjuncts Union. Priority Permits are not eligible for discount.
As verification of adjunct faculty status, a copy of your current signed appointment letter is required to be provided to approve your permit application. Please email (uaa_parkingfrontdesk@alaska.edu) or deliver a copy of your current appointment letter to Parking Services in ESH 102B.
Purchase Semester or Annual Permits
Once the purchase is complete, print out the provided Temporary Permit and place it face up on the driver side dash.
Account > View Permits > Print
Your permit should arrive via mail within two weeks. The permit will come with instructions for use. If you do not receive the permit by mail within two days from the expiration date of the Temporary Permit, please contact Parking Services Office at (907) 786-1119.
