The Justice Center participated the 2022 College of Health Academic Preview Day on March 18 at the UAA Professional Studies Building. Repesenting the Justice Center was Director Dr. Brad Myrstol as he spoke to high school students about the Justice and Legal Studies programs; student organizations such as the Society of Law & Justice and Alphi Phi Sigma; as well as other student opportunities such as internships.
"It was a thrill to be able to talk face-to-face with students once again about criminology
and legal studies, and all of the exciting and rewarding justice career paths available
to our students," Myrstol says. "And, it was SO nice to share a bit of myself and
make meaningful connections with students in the process—for example, letting them
know that I, too, am a first-generation college student. I hope to see them all on
campus again in the Fall 2022 semester."
During the event, high school students toured labs and classrooms, met faculty, and
learned about the variety of programs the College of Health has to offer. It was a
great opportunity to provide students with this event as they continue to explore
their next steps in their academic and professional pathways.
