Earning College Credit while in High School

Dual Enrollment Programs

Dual enrollment programs are available to high school students who would like to earn college credit and their high school requirements at the same time. Each dual enrollment program has specific admission requirements, application processes and deadlines.

Students should apply to the dual enrollment program first and then to UAA; the dual enrollment program of their choice will lead them through the process.

Just Taking Classes

If not in a dual enrollment program, high school students looking to just take a class at UAA should refer to the Office of the Registrar's "Secondary Students Taking Courses" page.

Students should remember that the grades they receive as a non-degree-seeking student will remain on their official transcript, even those they take while in high school. Should they decide to later apply as a degree-seeking student at any college or university, they’ll be required to submit their official transcript from UAA.
