Haliehana Alaĝum Ayagaa Stepetin (Unangax̂) is a PhD Candidate in Native American Studies with a Designated Emphasis in Studies in Performance and Practice at the University of California Davis. Her research engages Native North Pacific perspectives on food sovereignty and environmental justice in dialogue with Unangax̂ subsistence performances and sustainability protocols as interventions to the ongoing climate crisis.

Biography

Haliehana Alaĝum Ayagaa Stepetin (Unangax̂) is a PhD Candidate in Native American Studies with a Designated Emphasis in Studies in Performance and Practice at the University of California Davis. Haliehana will be teaching AKNS A101C Elementary Unangam Tunuu I and AKNS A201 Alaska Native Perspectives this fall.
