Admission Checklist

Gold checklist boxComplete an Admission Application

The online application takes about 15–30 minutes to complete and is free (a $25 fee is assessed for applications received during the late application period). If you have not attended UAA since 2015, you will create an account for the application portal (not the UAOnline portal). Once in the portal, click the All Applications tab and then Create New UAA Application to proceed.

Gold checklist boxSubmit Transcripts

Typically, your original application documents will still be on file and you will not need to resubmit them. If you have taken any additional coursework at other regionally accredited institutions, you will need to provide official transcripts for those schools. Once you submit your application, the required transcripts that you need to provide will be listed (please give the Office of Admissions a few days to connect your previous application documents with this new one).

Gold checklist boxCheck Application Status

After you submit your application, you'll receive an email confirmation and further instructions. Once we receive all required documentation, we'll review your application. This usually takes 1–2 weeks. If you have not heard from us after two weeks, please contact the Office of Admissions at admissions@uaa.alaska.edu

Gold checklist boxNext Steps

Once you've submitted your application, make sure to refresh yourself with the New Student Checklist, which will guide you on preparing for the first day of class.
