Anchorage is situated in the southcentral region of the nation’s largest state and is home to one of the most diverse communities in the country as well as a growing population of roughly 300,000 people. Featuring amazing views of North America’s tallest peaks, Anchorage is just minutes from outdoor adventure.
When students aren’t exploring the unsurpassed beauty of Alaska, they enjoy a variety of engaging activities, highlighted by urban amenities such as shopping centers, fine dining, and an active fine arts and entertainment community. Everything Anchorage has to offer is connected by a bike-friendly, citywide trail system, and most major attractions are just a short bus ride from the UAA campus.
