Staff Make Students Count Award Application Open

This award recognizes staff who have provided outstanding service to UA students. Each recipient receives an award plaque, $1,000 and two domestic airline vouchers. All nominees receive a certificate of nomination.

The University of Alaska Anchorage earned recognition as a Military Friendly School for the 15th consecutive year, achieving gold-level status for the first time.

The Campus-Community Emergency Response Team (C-CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.

Alex James, associate professor of economics will discuss some common errors people make and use examples to highlight the power of experimentation with applications in health care, charitable giving, criminal justice and beyond.

The UAA Health Promotion Team and Student Activities has partnered to provide a Wellness Wagon on campus that will travel twice weekly through the spine starting in Rasmuson Hall Lobby and ending in the Consortium Library.
