New associate vice provost for Institutional Research

Renee Carter-Chapman is pleased to announce that, after a national search, Erin Holmes will join UAA as associate vice provost for Institutional Research. Erin is currently the Director of Institutional Research at Black Hills State University (BHSU). She holds a doctorate in public policy and public administration from Mississippi State University.

Holmes has 26 years of higher education experience, with more than 12 years experience directing institutional research at three universities. Her experience includes data extraction, analysis and reporting with extensive use of data warehouses and work in both Banner and SQL environments. Holmes has a strong background in assessment, and is currently co-chairing the accreditation self-study at BHSU. Her IR experience includes implementing Gary Rice's "Student Learning Progress Model" at BHSU as one of the model's 17 national beta test sites.

Holmes will begin at UAA on June 1.
