Sobering statistics in a new report from the UAA Justice Center, the Alaska Victimization
Survey: Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, have
been a hot news topic this past week. In a survey of more than 1,000 Mat-Su Borough-area
women, more than half report that they have experienced intimate partner or sexual
violence in their lifetime, sparking conversations among social service agencies and
