Two UAA students, Tom Honer and Angelica Remaley, have been selected as Fulbright Scholars for 2014-2015. Both students are mentored by Natasa Masanovic. Natasa has received many awards and recognition, including an Honors College Faculty Exemplar Award for her long history of exceptional accomplishments in mentoring students. Tom, Angelica, and professor Masanovic will be recognized at the UHC Undergraduate Research & Discovery Symposium, scheduled for April 14-18.

Credit also goes to Professor Francisco Miranda, the Honors College Major Scholarships liaison. Miranda serves as chair of the campus faculty committees that the Honors College puts in place each year to both mentor and evaluate the candidates for the Fulbright and other major scholarships.

Thanks to the scholarship review process and excellent faculty, nine UAA students have received Fulbright Scholarships so far.
