Important dates for seniors interested in teaching middle or high school

Seniors at UAA interested in becoming middle school or high school teachers should be aware the Secondary Education Certification program is now accepting applications for spring 2015 admission. The deadline to apply is Monday, Nov. 3, 2014.
To help students learn more about the Secondary Education Program, the College of Education will host admissions advising sessions on the following days:
Friday, Aug. 29, 12-1 p.m. Professional Studies Building, Room 216
Friday, Sept. 19, 12-1 p.m. Professional Studies Building, Room 216
Friday, Oct. 3, 12:30-1:30 p.m. Professional Studies Building, Room 216
Friday, Oct. 17, 12-1 p.m. Professional Studies Building, Room 216
All sessions (except for the Oct. 17 event) will be followed by a two-hour initial content review in Professional Studies Building, Room 223.If you are unable to attend one of these initial advising sessions, call (907) 786-4401 to arrange an individual session.
