UAA Professor Landry Signé co-authors article about post-conflict elections in 'The Washington Post'

In a piece published this week in The Washington Post's political blog Monkey Cage, UAA Political Science Professor Landry Signé and his co-author Grace Kpohazounde argue that delaying post-conflict elections "to build a sufficiently stable environment in which to hold the elections has a better shot at sustainable peace and can set the basis for future successful democratic development" in the failed state of Central African Republic.

This is a timely contribution to the policy debate as the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) created by a U.N. Security Council resolution began implementing its mandate on Sept. 15.
