by Michelle Saport  |

Wednesday, Oct. 29, 7 p.m. Wendy Williamson Auditorium

UAA Student Activities, in partnership with the Alaska World Affairs Council, presents a screening of the film "Not My Life," followed by a panel discussion.

"Not My Life," filmed on five continents and in a dozen countries, takes viewers into a world where millions of children are exploited every day through an astonishing array of practices including forced labor, domestic servitude, begging, sex tourism, sexual violence and child soldiering. The after-movie panel discussion on human trafficking will feature Robin Bronen from the Alaska Institute for Justice and Jolene Goeden from the FBI.

This event is free for students and active military members/spouses (with valid ID), and $10 for the general public. Refreshments will be available in the lobby before the film. Please do not bring food into the auditorium.

For inquiries about the event, please contact UAA Student Activities at (907) 786-1219 or uaastudentactivities@gmail.com.
