Applied Leadership Seminar, March 5

Thursday, March 5, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Gorsuch Commons
The Applied Leadership Seminar focuses on two lenses: potentials and behaviors. These lenses are used to shape the view within the organization-from the people who work there, to what they talk about, to the structure and processes and through to the support systems. These lenses are inter-related. It is commonly believed that a person's perception of their potential will affect their behavior. Applied leadership turns this belief on its head. Behavior drives potential-and there has been a great deal of research by contemporary psychologists and neuroscientists to confirm this. Simply stated: If a person becomes aware of their behavior and changes it to adopt the behaviors of great leaders, then they will become a great leader. A key objective of the seminar is to help attendees become aware of their behavior and to reshape it for the future.
