Spring 2015: Upcoming Continuing Education classes focus on professional development, culinary skills and more

Culinary classes: Entertaining education for groups, dates and solo chefs Continuing Education Coffers a wide variety of culinary classes each semester. Upcoming sessions include: New England Dinner (March 4); Perfect Pasta with Mamma Mia (March 12); and Mother Sauces (April 23). All culinary classes are hands-on and tasting is required. These classes are great for groups or dates.

Continuing Education Lunch & Learn sessions Plan to attend an upcoming Continuing Education Lunch & Learn from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the University Center. Sessions include: Building Commitment at Work (March 17); Marketing Your Business with Social Media (April 7); and Professional Networking Using Social Media (May 12).

Register online. Each session costs $35 and includes lunch. Register by calling (907) 786-6790 at least one day prior to class and receive a $20 discount.

Workforce Development Credentialed Bridge to College & Careers, April 6-May 20 The Continuing Education (CE) Department will offer a new session of the Workforce Development Credentialed Bridge to College & Careers program April 6-May 20. The program covers: computer essentials, workplace and entry-level college math, business communications, personal finance and job search preparedness. The program is designed to support individuals who are entering or re-entering the workforce as well as those who are refreshing skills for college and pursuit of a degree.
