Test of on-campus crisis alert system scheduled for June 5, 2015

by Michelle Saport  |

Friday morning, the EHS Office of Emergency Management will team with IT Services to test an upgrade of the crisis alerting option through our Cisco speakerphones. This Friday, June 5, at 9 a.m., you should hear a short alert from your workstation phone as UPD activates the system. We will have spotters across campus, but cannot observe the performance of every telephone. Please contact IT at mark.logsdon@uaa.alaska.edu if you do not hear the announcement in its entirety on Friday morning.

You should hear this crisis test message, "This is a test of the UAA emergency alert paging system on the Anchorage campus. If this had been an actual emergency, the Incident Management Team would have provided information about the incident along with instructions for getting more information. This has been only a test."
