Fall 2015: CERC hosts free English and communication workshops

The UAA Chugiak-Eagle River Campus is pleased to present a free workshop series for the public this fall, beginning Saturday, Oct. 24. This semester's focus will be on writing and communication topics. All workshops are free of charge and will take place on the following Saturdays, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Jitters coffee shop. Join us! No RSVP necessary.

Saturday, Oct. 24: "How to Write a Better Story, Part 1: The Introduction" Bring a pen or pencil and something to write on. Led by Laura Chartier, instructor of English.

Saturday, Oct. 31: "Who Am I? Reflecting on our Understandings of Self from a Communication Perspective" Led by Solveig Pedersen, instructor of Communication.

Saturday, Nov. 7: "Conflict in Relationships: Learning to Communicate with Kindness" Led by Solveig Pedersen, instructor of Communication.

Saturday Nov. 14: "Writing about Alaska: Examples and exercises for your own work" Bring a pen or pencil and something to write on. Led by Laura Chartier, instructor of English.
