In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, there will be no classes Wednesday-Friday and campus will be closed Thursday-Friday this week. Before leaving for the long weekend, please remember to power off electronics and (if applicable) move your personal trash to one of your building's centralized bins.

Parking permit enforcement will be suspended all day Wednesday-Sunday. Permit enforcement will resume as scheduled Monday, Nov. 30, at 7:30 a.m.

Although campus will be closed later this week, you can still visit for three great events happening over the holiday.

Thanksgiving Feast, Nov. 26 Everyone is invited to attend this annual tradition hosted by USUAA Student Government. Enjoy a free Thanksgiving meal with the community. Volunteers are also needed for this event. Full details are posted on the USUAA Facebook page.

Marie Antoinette, Nov. 27-29 The UAA Theatre production of "Marie Antoinette" finishes its short run this Sunday. In the words of the play's costume designer, Colleen Metzger, "How can you not want to see a show that has cool wigs and awesome shoes and cake and people's heads being cut off?" You can catch the show Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at UAATix.com.

Great Alaska Shootout, Nov. 24-28 The oldest continuously running in-season college basketball tournament in the nation, the GCI Great Alaska Shootout takes over the Alaska Airlines Center Nov. 24-28. Come cheer for the Seawolves as they compete against some of the most promising teams from the Lower 48. George Mason, Pepperdine and Western Kentucky round out the women's field; Drexel, Loyola, Middle Tennessee, UNC-Asheville, San Diego, San Jose State and Toledo round out the men's field.
