Wednesday, Feb. 3, 3:30-5 p.m. Professional Studies Building, Room 210C

Bringing in the Bystander is a bystander education and training program developed for college students and provides participants with the skills to help them act when they see behavior that puts others at risk for violence, victimization or perpetration.

These skills include:

  • Speaking out against rape myths and sexist language;
  • Supporting victims of sexual violence; and
  • Safely intervening in potentially violent situations by direct action, delegation to someone else who can help (such as a friend or law enforcement) or by distraction.

Presentation by Kate Fitzgerald, health promotions specialist, Student Health and Counseling Center. Sponsored by College of Health Student Advising and Advocacy.
