UAA Sigma Tau Delta chapter celebrates 20 years

The 2015-2016 academic year marks the 20th anniversary of the UAA English Department's chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society. The Sigma Tau Delta organization was established in 1924 and consists of more than 875 active chapters throughout the U.S. that provide members with scholarships, awards and internships. The Sigma Tau Delta Anchorage Chapter has been recognized for its long-standing support of and commitment to higher quality education as well as actively involved and student-oriented faculty. The Anchorage chapter of Sigma Tau Delta was presented with a plaque at the 2016 International Convention, March 2-5 in Minneapolis, Minn., for its current and ongoing commitment to excellence in English language, literature and writing.

Congratulations to the English Department's Sigma Tau Delta Anchorage chapter for all of the hard work and determination to achieve excellence and to stimulate a higher quality education.
