Submit your 2017-18 FAFSA now! The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the first step for students to be eligible for federal, state or institutional financial aid. There are two major changes to the FAFSA for the 2017-18 academic year: 1) Students can submit their FAFSA earlier, starting Oct. 1, 2016 rather than Jan. 1, 2017; and 2) Students (and parents where applicable) will use their 2015 taxes rather than their 2016 taxes. So there's no reason to wait! If you have questions, visit the UAA financial aid website at uaa.alaska.edu/students/financial-aid or email financial.aid@uaa.alaska.edu.
