At HERS - Higher Education Resource Services, we are committed to the advancement of women faculty and staff as well as creating and sustaining a diverse community of women leaders on today's campuses. With our joint goals in mind, we want to share a special opportunity.

Through a generous grant by the Henry Luce Foundation, HERS will offer the Clare Boothe Luce (CBL) Scholarship for women faculty in STEM to participate in the HERS Institute, a premier leadership development program for women working in all areas of higher education. Twelve women will be selected to receive the scholarship and participant in one of two offerings of the HERS Institute during the summer of 2018.

Costs covered by the scholarship include:

  • Tuition
  • Accommodations and most meals
  • Travel

The 2018 summer offerings of the HERS Institute are:

  • University of Denver, June 17-30
  • Bryn Mawr College, July 8-21

We ask you to forward this information to potential candidates and encourage them to learn more about the program and eligibility requirements. Please note: 2018 is the last year of funding for the HERS-CBL Scholarship. The deadline for receipt of completed applications and letters of recommendation is Friday, Nov. 17, 2017.
