Flu shot clinic at UAA Oct. 20Did you know our plan pays 100 percent of the cost of a flu shot under the preventive benefit? To make things even better, we're offering an on-site walk-in flu shot clinic at the UAA campus. Depending upon the need and interest, additional events may be offered.

Friday, Oct. 20, 1-2 p.m. University Lake Building, Room 104

Staff from the UAA Student Health & Counseling will be onsite to give flu shots. If you are on the UA Healthcare plan, please make sure you have a copy of the front and back of your Premera insurance card. If you are not covered by the UA Choice health plan, just bring your other insurance card or information to let them file a claim for you.

If you are not on campus during the clinic or are at a UAA rural campus, please be sure to contact your provider or pharmacy for information on flu shots. You can also go directly to the UAA Student Health & Counseling Center (Rasmuson Hall, Suites 116 and 120) to get your flu shot.

The vaccine we are providing is a quadrivalent formulation as recommended by the CDC for this year's flu. Those interested in more info should go to CDC.gov. There is a wealth of info on the flu as well as vaccines available.

The plan pays 100 percent of the allowable cost for routine immunizations such as flu shots. For more information on preventive services covered at 100% of allowable charges, please visit the UA Preventive Benefit page.

Please feel free to call Randi Markussen at (907) 786-1452 in the HR Benefits Office, or the main Human Resource Office at (907) 786-4608 if you have any questions.
