Nov. 7, 2017: Poet Amal Kassir hosts First Tuesday Spoken Word

November First Tuesday Spoken Word Tuesday, Nov. 7, 7 p.m. Student Union, Cafeteria
This special Spoken Word will be hosted by poet Amal Kassir. Amal has performed in eight countries and more than 25 cities, from youth prisons to orphanages to refugee camps. Her work in the community involves humanitarian initiatives for Syria, speaking out and organizing against Islamophobia, and empowering the voice of the marginalized through writing and speaking.
