Cabin Fever Debates 2018

by Michelle Saport  |

Join us for the Final Round of the 2018 Cabin Fever Debates, featuring UAA students debating the motion, "The death penalty is the only just punishment for the Parkland shooter."

Thursday, March 8, 7 p.m. Fine Arts Building, Room 150

The Cabin Fever Debates are UAA's intramural debating tournament, hosted by the Seawolf Debate Program for UAA students not active on the competitive team. Each year, over 60 students participate in a six-week long competition to determine the best debate team on campus. This year's competitors have argued issues ranging from the #MeToo Movement to national debt. The Final Round features those teams who have progressed from the preliminary phase through semifinals to arrive in the Final as one of the top four teams in the competition. The outcome of the final round will determine the 2018 Champion, who will take home $1,000.
