Furnished room for rent in College Village

We have a furnished bedroom available for rent in our home in the College Village neighborhood. It is a 10 minute walk from UAA and a 5 minute walk from the Chester Creek trail. The room is a 13x9 upstairs bedroom with a queen bed, side tables and lamps, comfortable sitting chair, considerable closet space, and large west-facing double windows. The house is 2200 sq. ft with driveway parking and sufficient garage and shed space for bikes, skis, etc. We also have a piano that would be happier if it were played more often. Shared kitchen, refrigerator, laundry, bath, and living areas. No smoking or pets. We have one friendly, not-too-hairy cat. Ideally, you are a student or young professional who enjoys a clean, quiet living space and is happy to do your part in keeping a home tidy. Examples of "doing your part" will include things like washing/drying/putting away all of your dishes, keeping counters clean, and periodic cleaning of the bathroom/common spaces.

Please include when you might be available for an interview (if you're out of town, we can do Skype), and when you are interested in moving in. Rent is $650/month. All utilities are included. No formal lease required, but we will favor applicants committing to at least a year. A background check, in addition to the standard credit check, will be required before move-in.
