Want to be paid to explore nature?

by Applied Environmental Research Center  |

Looking for motivated individuals who love to spend the Alaska summer outdoors. The Applied Environmental Research Center (AERC) is looking for individuals to participate in various field projects ranging from moose browse to fish to invasive species to forestry on Joint Base Richardson-Elmendorf (JBER), for the months of May through October (may change based on field season) at a rate of $1,900 per month (participant stipend).

Individuals with field experience or education are preferred, but anyone with a love for the outdoors are welcome to apply. Must be willing and able to hike and be active in a variety of temperatures and weather conditions. If interested, please email the AERC team at uaa_aerc@alaska.edu with a current resume/CV and a letter of recommendation. We are looking to fill participant slots quickly. The AERC team will provide the necessary equipment and training to conduct research projects on base.
