As you know, the University of Alaska system is facing a challenging budget situation resulting from a $70 million decrease in state funding over a three-year period. In light of this, last October the Board of Regents charged each university to undertake a review of its academic programs and administrative areas to meet its share of the reduction.

The University of Alaska is offering a pilot program on financial wellness through Securian Financial, at no cost to you. We're starting the program in Anchorage and will evaluate offering it in other locations. There will be one-on-one meetings in the morning, and two group sessions in the afternoon.
The Provost’s office is seeking an individual who can effective lead and manage all incoming academic inquiries as well as fulfill critical financial and office management duties in a collaborative team environment. Application review begins on Feb. 18.
UAA’s Center for Economic Development launched its first semester of Upstart Alpha Accelerator, a program that offers UAA students an opportunity to either experience an internship at a local startup or create their own.
