On March 25, the University of Alaska System will invite our communities to help envision a bold, adventurous and transformative future for our students and for Alaska. Together all three universities, their community campuses and the University of Alaska Foundation, will publicly launch the system’s first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign.

Anticipated to be the largest public fundraising effort in state history, this campaign aims to raise $200 million for the University of Alaska System.

Complementing our vision for UAA 2025, this coordinated fundraising and public outreach effort is an opportunity to further position higher education as a catalyst for a thriving Alaska. The campaign invites alumni, commerce leaders, foundations, community partners and neighbors to invest in your momentous work: delivering high-quality education to meet the needs of the people of Alaska and build a better future.

Every dollar raised will be part of the campaign. Four key messages summarize the priorities of University of Alaska’s vision:

  • Expand the culture of education in Alaska
  • Provide Alaska's skilled workforce
  • Champion UA's world-class research, relevant to Alaska and the Arctic Region
  • Contribute to a more diversified, growing economy — expanding and integrating Alaska's knowledge base
