BUILD EXITO: Sponsor Training for Research Mentors

by Green & Gold News  |

The National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN) provides training and support for research mentors and mentees across the researcher lifespan. In association with the NIH-sponsored BUILD initiative, NRMN has developed a curriculum specifically for mentoring undergraduate research students.

Through UAA’s participation in BUILD EXITO, and in collaboration with the new Honors in Research and Creative Activity track within the Honors College, Dr. Tracey Burke (Social Work) and Dr. Eric Murphy (Psychology) are offering the NRMN training to UAA faculty. This training is recommended for all faculty members, post-docs and graduate students who supervise undergraduate researchers.

The 3-part training will run three consecutive Friday mornings: Feb. 18, Feb. 25 and March 4 from 9-11 a.m. Registration is open now. Zoom links sent after registration.
