The Application of Generative AI

Abstract: Natural language is on the verge of becoming the most powerful and ubiquitous coding language available. These capabilities will become an integral part of your workflow, whether you are writing a document, coding an application, or interfacing with systems of action in the future. Together we will explore the recent advancements in generative AI, impacts on the future of productivity across the workforce, and Q&A. 

Bio: Sean Gwaltney serves as the Sr. Business Manager for Customer/Partner Engagement in Microsoft’s Cloud + AI organization. He holds a Master of Science in Project Management from the University of Alaska Anchorage and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to joining Microsoft, Sean was an active UAA community member, helped launch the UAA Robotics Club in 2016, and did advising with the UAA Rocketry Club. He spent the first 10 years of his career in a blend of construction management & energy roles across Alaska, from Thorne Bay to Brevig Mission to Tanana plus two years in Prudhoe Bay. Sean is also a volunteer, investor, “successful failed entrepreneur,” and an artist.
