Funding for Association for Educational Communications & Technology Conference

by Green & Gold News  |

Faculty and instructional staff are encouraged to submit to and present their work at the 2024 Association for Educational Communications & Technology (AECT) annual convention, taking place virtually from Oct. 1-3 and in Kansas City from Oct. 19-23. The event brings together global learning design experts to share cutting-edge technology solutions, groundbreaking research, and hands-on showcases to enhance instructional design and educational technology in K-12, higher education, government/military and industry.

The UAA Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) will be providing up to $1,500 in support of up to five applicants willing to present outcomes from the conference at the 2025 Winter Teaching Academy! Conference proposals should address critical issues within the field of learning, design, and technology. Submissions that share scholarship, practice, and stories related to the use of technology and the creation of inclusive, equitable, and ethical learning environments, including examples of technoethics or restorative justice in practical contexts, will be considered for designation as a Presidential Session.

Proposals are due March 31, 2024, and require a title, 75-word short description and 1000-word abstract. Visit the AECT24 Convention website to learn more and submit your proposal. Feel free to reach out to Dr. Tonia Dousay, SOE Dean and AECT President-Elect, at tadousay@alaska.edu for any inquiries about the convention or proposal submissions.
